22/6 Closer to EU standard with new Spanish
MC A1, A2 and A licences
A new licence for bikes up to 500cc, the A2 licence, has been
approved by the Spanish Government.
The A2 licence will only be available to drivers over 18 years old.
The new licence A2 is will fill a space in between the A1 licence (for bikes
up to 125cc) and the full A licence (bikes over 500cc).
To get the licence the applicant have to take one theoretical and one practical
test.
If the applicant already have an A1 (AM) licence, they can get the A2 just by
taking an aptitude and behaviour test. Read the full article here!

Today is midsummer day in Sweden so I guess most of our swedish
members has taken the day off to eat raw fish, meatballs etc. and drink
a lot of snaps and beer. So will I do as well, later today.
Might see
you on the roads this weekend as I missed the last ones because of the
Race on TV.
Hope some of the biker bars soon will invest 40 € in a spanish
digital box so they can show the race 10.00-15.00 in the bar. Perfect
to go there for a lunch break and check the Moto GP race... or F1, or
Discovery with US Chopper builders, or Super moto, or Cross, or
Chip Foose, or.....
I have seen that Costa Rider Bar have it, but they also have live rock
in the same room so Its kind of hard to hear the TV...

16/6 Wecome Trailblazers.
Have
finally spent some time and fixed the old forum so it works to post
in and read again. Not much time on the bike this weekend as it was
great racing on TV and then walking distance to the biker bar for
a few pints of real beer. Usually have to drink 0,0 as the bike always
is with me.
Talked to a member in San Pedro yesterday who knows some great roads over
the Estepona area we will go and check out. Large lakes etc. Perfect for
u Jack?

13/6 Vinnie and Cody..
Did you ever wonder what happened on OCC when Vinnie suddenly disappeared?
Well, he got fed up on working long days in a screaming environment
so he just packed up his stuff one day and left. A shock for the family
and extra heavy for Petco and Mike who had Vinnie as a mentor and best
friend.
Anyway, Vinnie is back in business again with the new company V-Force
Customs together with young Cody, also from OCC. I
have added their web side on the builders page.

12/6 Control of the bike...
Just seen a movie confirming my very own opinion about keeping the
sticks in the middle of the bike and not in Hi-way position as the
only option. Its the "new" stock
bike style I don't really understand, my bikes have always had sticks
where they should be, if you need to stand up or whatever, to have full
control. Some of my bikes had hi-way pegs mounted, as an option,
even if I prefer to use the passenger pegs on faster roads.
Anyway, these guys knows bikes, Its Jesse James and H.A. Frisco
explaining the "old style" of riding a bike, when chrome and paint had
a secondary function.. Check

then run to the toolbox..

Ok, I've
got more and more emails from members who wants to meet other members
and check out who they can ride with, sports bikes and customs. Some
is really trying and post questions in the forums but the response seems
a bit low. (the 2 new forums)
Please support them and answer so they
know it is worth trying. Bladeboy are looking for race bike friends
in the Costa Blanca area and will go on trackday racing in Valencia,
and Pink have weekly custom ride connections for all interested.
BigBiker suggested a meeting at The Road House last weekend, I do not
know if any of you where there as I missed the info and also was working
that day.
So I suggest that we meet a Saturday or Sunday
at The Roadhouse at lunch/14.00 so anyone have time to get there, and
also time to get back home. A few hours checking out each other, plan
routes and rides, and changing phone numbers etc.

77 members.
Yesterday
was opening day at Coast Riders Bar in Torreblanca, party from 11.00
to 24.00 with live music, male strippers and and more. Beer for 50
cent did not hurt much either so I tested a few as It was
waking distance home. A great location with easy parking,
spanish owners and a lot of bikes. No food what I could see except
for a paella served in the morning.

bikers to their opening, The Road House invite us to listen to live
music and Bikers Heaven has the pool ready for vikings. Don't know

On Sunday June 7 the Los Flekis Custom Biker Club, Malaga
has invited us to ride with them. Place: Plaza de Casarabonela starting 9:30,

Talking about biker bares
and prices, I did try the
Road House today. A huge portion with a homemade cheeseburger and
homemade fries, some green stuff, and two San Miguel 0,0, cost me
only 7 euros. You can see the menu on the link below. On top of that
they have different specials every day on the blackboard inside.

Angry Members
Today I've got some
angry emails from members who's been visiting Area51. The forum is
not working so I have to put some of the message here for all others
to notice!:
Hi Haze,
We went to area 51 the other night on our bikes. There was no sign
of bikes or bikers, we were charged 4€ for 2 cañas and they wanted
9.50€ for a burger and fries. These are ridiculous prices for Fuengirola.
I appreciate most of you are Swedish and enjoy
a touch of home but we will not be going back and at those prices
they won't be getting any British bikers.
So we have chosen to take that bar
out of our recommendation list.
We are sorry we have advertised this without checking prices etc., please
let us know if you know any other bars more suitable for bikers.

We are today 71 members, and we welcome 69 Rocky, 70 bikersinspain
and 71 David Pusey.
Had a very long day trying to pay the tax for
two of my scooters. Its just 6.40€/year each, but impossible to pay.
Was at 2 banks in Fuengirola yesterday, not working. Not possible
in Fuengirola. Had to go to Coin today to ayuntamientot, as this was
the best option for me, compared to Malaga city or Marbella with hours
of waiting. Nop, go to the bank and pay, was the answer in that office.
I told them it does not work. Sure It works here in Coin, the lady
said. So I went to the bank in Coin, and another, no no. So here I
am, still with my taxes unpaid. Have a plan, thouht, there is in some
banks machines you can use to pay bills with, they cant say no, so
I will try that tomorrow.. ciao haze

Road House Bar is now open!
The former Stockholm Bar has today re-open with new owners. Larry
forgot to pay his bills and are now kicked out. Twink, Sue and Charlie
will run this biker bar from now on. The name is Road House Bar and
they will serve good fresh homemade food for hungry bikers. Today it
was a quiet opening without advertising but still a lot of bikes. Later
today it will probably be full of people. We wish them good luck and
we in the area have our weekend meeting point back. Here It's open
from 10.00 all days so be there weekends 10-11 if you want someone
to ride with.

Anyone else out there who can arrange something?, please let me know.
Also talked to Mackan Area51, he will make parts of the place more
biker-like so you fit in when you are visiting. He suggested a biker
evening, maybe sundays after-ride. He is open for suggestions so dont
b shy.

Quiet week!
Yea
we are still kicking! And more news will be back soon. Just a lot
of work right now. 4 bikers from the club visited Area51
today, an hour before me. That's great, It will be a perfect place
to meet soon as everyone know how to go there. They have it all.
Also waiting for
some article material from members who battle the wind and went
back and fourth to Jerez last weekend.
Passed Stockholm Bar on 340
this afternoon, anyone who knows what happens? All windows wrapped
in newspaper. Door closed. Hope Its not final.
We welcome member 66 John Bulstrode. I will try to send the connection-emails
to all of you this weekend so you can email each other.

best I have found so far. You can watch the most common ones on large
screens in Area 51. We
are just checking what and when to make a schedule. Mackan will open
the bar even on sundays if we are a few showing up.
This weekend - MotoGP is to early(4.00),
but Superbike and a later MotoGP (22.30) is probably possible on Sunday.
