200 Million bikes in
60 years from Honda. The worlds biggest motorcycle company started building bikes "professional" in 1949 with a 3 HP - 98 cub/inc. model, a dream machine in those days. Mr Honda, Soishiro Honda, started to repair and build bikes just after the war, and he soon found out that this was a vehicle for the future. So in the
year 1949 he started to build bikes the factory way and the first
Dream bike was called the D-type. Two stroke of course, the Honda
style. First factory outside Japan started 1963 in Belgium and Honda has since then always been produced close to the market and today you can find 32 factory's in 22 different countries. Design departments etc. has
local offices in USA, Germany Italy, Thailand, Kina and India. In the end of September 2008 was number 200 million taken from the factory line, and the goal for 2010 is 18 Million bikes.
